Impact
Tuberculosis is one of the most pressing global health issues of our time. By improving the speed and accuracy of TB diagnosis, AutoTB will produce significant and measureable improvements in the life of both individuals and communities.
Our focus on frontline patient care in the developing world initially targets countries with high TB burden (e.g. South Africa, India). More specifically, we aim to target refugee camps and collaborate with primary care providers in rural clinics offering diagnosis and disease treatment.
In just the first year after product launch, we estimate that we can accurately diagnose an additional 9 million patients.
